Hi Anne! Thank you so much for helping me learn where the ABC about me “originated!”

Yes, finding authors for certain letters posed the biggest challenge (no pun intended)! I came up with a creative “solution”, which I will mention after I explain how to find/search for new authors to discover.

Whether on Medium’s mobile app or desktop website, there is a search option (for mobile its in the footer area & on desktop it’s in the top of the far right column). What I did was type the letter I needed and then after I clicked the search icon I would click on “People” above the results! :) You have to sift through the not-so-perfect list of “results” as it includes authors whose name doesn’t begin with the letter you searched for. 🤦‍♀️

Okay, for my creative “solution/alternative” to finding an author with a first or last name beginning with the letter: Pick a topic or theme that starts with that letter (ie, X-factor, xylophone) and find a relavent story written by an author with 1,000 followers or less. Of course, you want it to be a story worthy of drawing attention to (was that a good way to put it, I don’t know haha).

So, after writing all that out I do want to mention there are many other ways to lift other writers (besides my daunting challenge)! Do you follow Judy Derby? She lifts writers often and has great articles to use for “formatting” and title inspiration. 💖
